Appointment Types

Initial Podiatry Assessment

A comprehensive review of foot pathologies, along with a basic neurovascular and medical assessment, was carried out during today’s appointment.
Your foot concerns and condition were clearly explained, and an appropriate treatment plan with tailored recommendations was discussed. Initial treatment included care for calluses, corns, and nail health.

Nail Care Only

Returning Patient Treatment Summary:
Nails were tidied, shaped, and reduced as needed. Pathological and thickened nails, including those involuted or curling at the sides, were carefully reduced to improve comfort and maintain nail health.
It is recommended to return every 6–10 weeks to help maintain optimal foot health and prevent recurrence of issues.

Full Podiatry

Nails were tidied, shaped, and reduced, including the management of pathological, thickened, and involuted nails (curling at the sides).
Calluses and corns were carefully reduced and enucleated to alleviate pressure and improve overall foot comfort.

Nail Surgery

An initial assessment is required to ensure medical suitability for the procedure and to discuss your specific needs.
This is a permanent solution for problematic or painful nails (such as ingrown or thickened nails).
The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic using a digital ring block to fully numb the affected toe.

Depending on the case, one of the following procedures may be performed:

  1. Total Nail Avulsion (TNA): Full nail removal
  2. Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA): Removal of one side of the nail
  3. Double Partial Nail Avulsion (DPNA): Removal of both sides of the nail

A chemical called phenol is then applied to the nail bed (phenolisation) to prevent regrowth in the treated areas.
Aftercare and follow-up dressing appointments will be scheduled to support healing and ensure the best outcome.

Fungal Nail Treatment – Lacuna Method

A specialised treatment designed to target fungal infections beneath the nail plate.

£70 per nail
£100 for two nails

This method involves creating tiny micro-channels in the nail to allow antifungal medication to penetrate directly to the source of infection, supporting the growth of a clear, healthy nail.

Fungal Nail Treatment Procedure

Small, precise micro-holes are drilled into the nail plate to allow topical antifungal medication to effectively reach the nail bed, where the fungal infection originates.
This technique helps the treatment penetrate deeper, targeting the affected areas more directly and supporting the growth of a new, healthy nail.
Regular follow-up may be required to monitor progress and ensure optimal results.

Add-On Service: Fingernail Cut – £8

Fingernail cutting can be added to your podiatry appointment for an additional £8.

Please note: This service must be booked at the time of your main treatment to ensure sufficient clinic time and availability.

Each subsequent application is £22, performed fortnightly.

Typically, 5–6 sessions are required for effective treatment.
